Black Lava Rock Dyed 20mm Coin

Weight:
55.00 Grams
SR143.02

Description

  • Approximate beads per strand: 19
  • What is it: Also known as scoria, lava rock is formed from solidified volcanic lava. A defining feature of this rock is cavities caused by trapped gas bubbles, resulting in the beads being surprisingly very light.
  • History:The famous human figures (Moai) of Easter Island were carved from volcanic rock by the Rapa Nui people in eastern Polynesia between the years 1250 and 1500. Some of the moai were carved from scoria (similar to our Lava Rock). Because this erodes easily over time, few of the moai's original designs remain.
  • Metaphysical Properties: Lava Rock is believed to be a grounding stone, balancing emotions and brings about calmness and strength. Helps keep tempers in check and allows to work through problems in a logical way. At the same time, there is a raw energy about lava rock, since it is born out of the heart of the earth. This energy is said to represent rebirth or renewal.
  • Because gemstones are natural materials, appearances may vary from bead to bead
