Instructions on Construction:

1. You will work on both earrings at the same time as this helps in sizing.

2. Start by taking a sharpie and drawing a line across both prongs on your round nose pliers, close to the pointy ends. This will give you an accurate place to line up your wire every time you make a loop for the wire wrap dangles. * Remember you can alter the placement of your ink mark depending on whether you want larger or smaller loops. These are small stones and so I created small delicate loops to go with them.

3. Take a headpin and using your wire cutters remove the flat head plate. The first thing to make are the connector links, they have a loop on either end, with one morganite bead in the middle. You will be using your needle and round nose pliers to make your wire wraps, start by making your first 90-degree bend close to the middle of the head pin, then go ahead and make the first small loop, but do not complete the wire wrap yet.

* You may already know this tip, but if not prepare to learn something great! Thread on 1 morganite, make your second loop and then go backwards and forwards on both ends, doing half a wire wrap at a time until you have filled the space and are ready to trim your wires. This allows you to have an equal number of wire wraps on either side of the bead, which is difficult to achieve if you complete the first loop and then do the second loop. This will immediately take your finished pieces up a notch and give a more professional touch to your work. Make two of these connector links, one for each earring.

4. There are three dangles that will attach to one end on both of these links, they will form the bottom of the earrings. # 1 dangle – take a headpin add 1 2mm silver and 2 morganite beads, form a wire wrap loop (same size as before) and thread this loop onto one end of the connector you have just made. Complete the wire wrap and trim close to the coil, tap in the tail as needed.

* Repeat with second earring. # 2 dangle – take a headpin add 2 morganite beads, repeat above instructions and thread onto connector link, next to the first dangle.

* Repeat with second earring. # 3 dangle – take a headpin, trim the head then make a small loop on end, add 1 morganite then wire wrap attaching to connector link (placing so that dangle # 1 the longest, sits between # 2 and # 3). You can practice what you did with the connector links and wrap both loops at the same time, to obtain the same number of coils.

* Repeat with second earring.

5. Using your flat nose and needle nose pliers carefully open an oval jump ring and thread onto the top loop of the connector that you made, now thread onto the bottom of the heart, carefully close the jump ring making sure that the edges come together and there are no gaps.

* Repeat with second earring.

6. The final step is to attach 1 4mm round jump ring to connect into the loop at the top of the heart, close the jump ring and then add a second jump ring, into jump ring that you just closed and this will attach to the loop on the earring post. The reason you need two jump rings is to get the heart hanging in the correct direction.

* Repeat with second earring.

7. Now it is time to try on the earrings & admire your handiwork…. they are super sweet, light & fun to wear!

8. Enjoy!
