- What is it: Bronzite belongs to the pyroxene family, so it is a silicate compound of magnesium. An iron-bearing variety, bronzite has a metallic luster when polished. Bronzite is not a soft stone, but it can be susceptible to damage if struck hard enough and in the right spot.
- History: The Romans used powdered bronzite to prevent confusion and mental illness. Not much else is known about the historical use of bronzite.
- Metaphysical Properties: Bronzite is used for protection, it is believed to repel and send back negative energies to the sender. Bronzite is a “stone of courtesy”, especially helpful to people who greet and assist the public. It is believed that this stone can instill politeness in those around you.
