- History: Pietersite was discovered in Africa in 1962 by Sid Pieters. He discovered this stone while he was looking for farm land in Namibia, Africa.
- Metaphysical Properties: Pietersite promotes the activation of chakras, as well as the third eye. Because its swirling colors resemble a storm, pietersite is known as the "tempest stone."
