Description
- Approximate beads per strand: 95
- What is it: Ametrine is a quartz crystal that displays a combination of amethyst and citrine. Ametrine is mainly sourced from a single site in Bolivia, called the Anahi Mine.
- History: Rumor has it that a Spanish conquistador was gifted the Bolivian ametrine mine sometime in the 1600s as a dowery for the marriage to the native princess Anahi. Soon after, the mine became lost for over 300 years. It was then rediscovered in the 1960s and was named the Anahi Mine, after the princess.
- Metaphysical Properties: Ametrine is said to be an equal metaphysical balance of amethyst and citrine. It is believed to bring serenity and harmony, as well as bring balance to one's inner self.
- Because gemstones are natural materials, appearances may vary from bead to bead
