Rainbow, Pearl & Chain Beaded Necklace

Finished Length 19 ½ – 22 ½” * Or your chosen length.

Materials Needed:

• 8-9mm Freshwater Pearls, Ivory/White (31) *1 Strand is enough for necklace, choker & bracelet
• 6mm Fimo Polymer Clay Slices, Candy Stripe (Approx. 3” of strand)
• 8mm Fimo Polymer Clay, Floral Rounds (6) Strand or Pack of 100
• 8mm Mashan Jade, Dyed Hot Pink (5)
• 6mm Blue Howlite Matte Round (6)
• 10x5mm Smiley Face Transparent Mix (1)
• Fimo Polymer Clay Fruit Shaped Beads (2)
• Size 6 Matsuno Seed Beads, #F206B Neon Crystal Matte/Lime Green (5)
• 6x1.5mm Gold Plated Brass Rondel Discs (22)
• 4.2x4mm Gold Plated Chain (Approx. 3”) * For Extension Chain
• 2mm Rolo Chain, Gold Plated Chain (Approx. 4”) *Smaller Links for Double Loops
• 7mm White & Gold Acrylic Alphabet Beads (4 = L, O, V, E)
• 12x7mm Trigger Clasp – Gold Plated (1)
• Soft Touch Beading Wire – Satin Silver, Medium (23”) *Or your desired length.
• 2x2mm Crimps, Gold Filled (2)

Instructions on Construction:

1. Cut 23” section of beading wire & attach a bead stop approx. 3” from end of wire.

2. Stringing is as follows: “A (1), B (1)” repeat this sequence 30 times, now A (1), Thread into end link of 4” section of chain, I (1), E (1), I (1), D (1), I (1), H (1), thread into link 1 ½” from first link of chain, G (1), I (3), C (1), H (1), J (2 letters “L” and “O”), thread into end link on chain, J (2 Letters “V” & “E”), I (1), D (1), B (1), E (1), I (3), D (1), I (1), F (1), H (1), G (1), I (1), C (1), D (1), E (1), A (3), I (1), E (1), H (1), I (1), A (3), I (1), E (1), I (1), C (2), I (1), A (1), E (1), I (1), C 2), I (1), D (1), A (1), I (1). Place a bead stop on second side of wire.

3. * Now is the time to double check for size: If you want to shorten, remove an equal amount/length from either side, if you want to make longer you can either add a few beads to both sides or add extra length in your extender chain.

4. Attaching clasp: Take your beading wire (from pearl side) thread on crimp tube and attach directly to loop on trigger clasp. Flat crimp using your needle nose pliers and then attach the crimp cover. *Keep your wires parallel when crimping (this gives a more secure attachment) and then give a test pull on your wire to make sure you have closed hard enough on the crimp.

5. Remove bead stop from second end of wire, thread on a crimp tube and thread through last link in the extension chain, then back through crimp tube. Before closing crimp do the following:

6. Lay your necklace on your bead mat in a circle to make sure you leave enough slack in the wire. * If you crimp your wire too tightly the necklace will be rigid and there is a chance that the beading wire may break!

7. You are now ready to crimp your necklace and add the second crimp cover.

8. Take head pin and add H (1), A (1), I (1) now using needle nose and round nose pliers wire wrap this to the last link in the extension chain, trim and tamp in pointy end.

9. You are now ready to try on necklace and to admire your handy work. Enjoy!
