- What is it: Kunzite is the best known as a variety of the mineral spodumene. Kunzite's color comes from trace amounts of manganese. This crystal is naturally: colorless, pink, lilac, yellow, and green. Be aware that all Kunzite is prone to fading in direct sunlight.
- History: This stone is named after the gemologist George Frederick Kunz, who was the first to identify it as a unique variety of spodumene in 1902.
- Metaphysical Properties: Kunzite is a love stone and is believed to be good for communication of love when in a nervous state. Said to promote humility and tolerance of oneself.
