- What is it: Jade is a variety of the calcium, magnesium, and iron-rich minerals. There are two different mineral species of Jade: Jadeite and nephrite. Jadeite contains blacks, reds, pinks, and violets. While nephrite jade possesses mainly grays and greens (and occasionally yellows, browns or whites - like our white jade).
- History: Jade has been used in virtually all periods history, especially Chinese history. Jade has a deep significance in Chinese culture as it had been used to make tools, weapons, and jewelry for literally thousands of years. Items made from Jade would signify political power or possibly religious authority.
- Metaphysical Properties: It is believed that Jade has a soothing purity about it, purifying your energy field in a manner that is accepting, loving, and wise.
