  • What is it: Phosphosiderite gets the first part of it's name from containing phosphorous, phospho, and iron, siderite. The second part of it's name comes from the word, "sideros" the Greek word meaning iron.
  • History: Originally found by Alfred Lewis Oliver Legrand Des Cloizeaux in 1858, it was later named in 1890 by Willy Bruhns and Karl Heinrich Emil Georg Busz for its composition.
  • Metaphysical Properties: Phosphosiderite is said to be a stone of healing by opening Heart and Third Eye chakras to balance these energy centers and allow one to gain a better understanding of one’s spiritual path.
