- History: For centuries, sapphire has been associated with royalty and romance. Sapphires recently became even more associated with this in 1981, when Britain’s Prince Charles gave a blue sapphire engagement ring to Lady Diana Spencer.
- Metaphysical Properties: Sapphires are known as the "wisdom stone", and each color of Sapphire brings its own type of wisdom. It is said to release mental tension, depression, unwanted thoughts, and confusion.
