- What is it: Unakite is a type of granite composed of pink orthoclase, feldspar, green epidote and quartz.
- History: The first known use of unakite was in 1874. It contains the mineral epidote, which comes from the Greek word epididonai which means “to give additionally.”
- Metaphysical Properties: Unakite brings together the abundant, natural energy of green with the soft, kindness of pink. It is a stone of love, compassion and kindness.
- Chackra: Unakite is associated with two chakras: for the third eye chakra for its use in vision and the heart chakra for its ability to balance emotions.
