- What is it: Zamak (or Zamac) is a mix alloy of copper, magnesium, zinc, and aluminum - dipped in silver. Zamak has higher aluminum levels than any other alloy, and is part of die cast manufacturing. Therefore, Zamak charms and pendants are quite solid and firm. The hardness enables a bold look that also allows the item to have a much longer lifespan than just zinc. Zamak is also hypoallergenic, which makes it a great option for people with allergies to metal.
